Shortcade privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-12.
Shortcade is a private tool that helps a small number of invited creators turn their own gameplay recordings into YouTube Shorts.
Who can use it: only people the operator has invited and who sign in through the operator's identity provider.
What we store when you connect YouTube: your YouTube channel id and name, and the refresh token Google issues so Shortcade can upload videos to your channel as private drafts and, only when you click Publish, make them public. The refresh token is stored encrypted with a key held in AWS KMS; the web application can write it but cannot read it back, and every use is logged.
What we store when you connect GitHub: your GitHub login and the repository you chose; access tokens are short-lived and the refresh token is stored encrypted the same way.
What we do with your data: upload the videos you approve to your channel, read your channel's video statistics for the Library page, and open pull requests in the repository you chose. We do not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google user data: Shortcade's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How to stop: click Unlink in Settings → My integrations, which revokes Shortcade's access at Google or GitHub and deletes the stored token, or revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Deleting your account: ask the operator; all your stored data is removed.
Contact: the operator's email is shown on the sign-in page.
